We are developing a Truffle Farm in Portugal, and we're currently inviting a very limited number of individuals to invest in owning a long-term share of the harvest from this farm.
Our Truffle CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is similar to a typical CSA program, but with some differences.
Instead of purchasing truffles at retail prices, you contribute to the initial costs associated with farming the land and then receive a portion of the harvest each year as the trees mature.
This model provides a clear connection to the product’s origin, grounded in patience, honesty, and quality, essentially making you part of a sustainable, gourmet movement.
Your one-time contribution of $1,000 will give you a 0.05% share of our annual harvest for 15 years. Truffles take time to grow, and so the first harvest typically occurs around year 10, followed by annual distributions as the trees mature and production increases.
By default, your share is delivered as gourmet truffle salt, created to preserve their freshness and flavor. If you prefer truffle oil or fresh truffles, you can opt for this and cover the additional shipping and handling.
Truffles are an exclusive food product. They’re also among the rarest and most expensive ingredients available globally, a true delicacy for many top chefs due to their aromatic depth, complexity, and elusiveness.
Portugal was chosen for its optimal combination of climate, elevation, soils, and humidity, which are well-suited to truffle cultivation. Native Holm Oaks thrive in this environment, and we will reforest a previously unproductive area.
Along the way, we will provide updates regarding the health of the soil, tree growth, fungal development, and more.
Like all agriculture, this project carries risk. Weather, pests, and natural variability are real. We believe acknowledging that upfront is part of earning trust.
